Việt Nam và Hoa Kỳ tăng cường hợp tác tìm kiếm người mất tích từ cả hai phía

Tháng 8 năm 2026, Việt Nam và Hoa Kỳ tái khẳng định cam kết hợp tác trong công tác tìm kiếm, quy tập và xác định hài cốt của những người mất tích từ cả hai phía trong chiến tranh. Thông qua Sáng kiến Hạch toán Chiến tranh Việt Nam (Vietnam War Accounting Initiative) và các kênh liên quan, hai nước tiếp tục chia sẻ tài liệu lịch sử, hỗ trợ điều tra thực địa, và thúc đẩy việc tìm kiếm, quy tập cũng như nhận dạng hài cốt của các liệt sĩ Việt Nam cũng như quân nhân Mỹ. Sự hợp tác nhân đạo này thể hiện mong muốn chung nhằm làm rõ hơn và mang lại sự khép lại đối với những di sản của cuộc chiến.

In August 2026, Vietnam and the United States reaffirmed their commitment to joint efforts in accounting for the missing from both sides of the war.
